Purchasing of a video housing adapted to his own camera is not  easy. Fast changes in models, technologic evolution and changeover of  video standards  make your today's camera will be completely obsolete in one year.  Even worse,  a 4 or 5 years old camera became nearly irreplacable in case of loss, robbery or important breakdown. What becomes then of the remaining housing especially made for a such camera ? Must of the time, just an expensive relic as, having to adapt it to a new camera, could be impossible or will cost as much, even more, as a new one.
It is for these reasons that SUBSPACE has designed its video housings so that they can be easily adapted  or modified in order to be used with the  largest number of video cameras. In 1962, the "Mk I" video housing had been designed for the Sony® TR-75 camera. Eight years later, this same housing was the first on the market to be able to receive the new Tri-CCD DCR-TRV 900 as well as the DV-Cam PD-100.

NEW

Due to the evolution of the video cameras, the Mk I housing, built in 1992, have to be improved. With a much smaller volume than the previous one, the New Mk I remain adaptable to quite all Sony®'s video cameras of "TR" or "TRV" type. This housing is particulary well adapted to the Tri-CCD cameras DCR-TRV 900 or DV Cam PD-100 and to the latest model DCR-TRV 950 and DV Cam PDX-10 which could take advantage of optional mechanical functions as "PUSH AUTO", "SHUTTER SPEED", "WHITE BALANCE" ET "EXPOSURE". It could be fitted with 3 different type of viewfinders: through the camera, by LCD colour monitor installed into the back port of the housing or by an external waterproof LCD monitor.

Underwater video housing type-approved by the French Navy for its exceptional robustness, reliability and ease of use
Previously designed for the camera Sony® CCD-XV 1, this housing is actually one of the best for the Sony® DCR-VX 1000, yet ready to receive the new Sony®DCR-VX 2000 or the DV Cam DVC-PD 150.

For the new Sony® professionnal digital cameras DCR-VX 2000 and DV Cam DVC-PD 150, SUBSPACE create a new underwater housing specially designed for these two models. In addition of the electronic remote of the main functions, this housing could be fitted, on request, with mechanical controls giving access to the professionnal functions as "PUSH AUTO", "EXPOSURE" with f/stops adjustment and "WHITE BALANCE". It could be fitted with a standard "trough the camera" viewfinder back port, with a LCD colours monitor, tilted at an angle of 15°, installed in the back port or with a waterproof external monitor.
